Sheffield is alive with the sound of investment
Parsons Cross-based musician, Adam Went, has recently received £3,000 investment for his new music business, Doe Ray Me. The innovative agency offers a wide range of musical services from guitar and bass lessons to band hire for gigs and special occasions, even supplying stand-in musicians for bands across the region.
The funding was presented to Adam by Microloan, a project providing loans and grants to people involved in the BiG: Make it Your Business programme, who are either starting a new business or developing an existing business.
Adam comments: “The funding from BiG: Make it Your Business has really helped to get my business off the ground. I’ve always had a passion for music, so being able to turn that passion into a business is like a dream come true. The money has been vital in allowing me to grow and develop my business. As well as being able to provide an increased range of lessons, I can now attend gigs both in the region and beyond.”
